The Love is Over

The Love is Over

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

Feathers float

land on the floor

the love is over, there is no more

Bubbles rise

on the surface burst

the best is over, what's left...the worst

Rain falls

rivers rise

there's nothing left one could disguise

Glass break

falls on the rug

no one left to kiss, to hug

Balloons escape

into the sky

now it's time to say goodbye

Footsteps echo

out the door

the love is over, there is no more
