Rambogren

Rambogren

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

Watch and beware young excursioinist

of the Rambogren

whose vicious smile

belies and beguiles

even the most intelligent of men

His jewel-like eyes hide fantastic evil

and wicked intent

they gather information

from home to station

with ferocity and malcontent

Snake-like fingers and wicked claws

ache to rip

rent and tear

eyeballs and hair

on every trip

Speedily he trots through rift or ruin

swamp or sewer

on hair covered legs

the size of stags

to rape or skewer

Mane-like hair flows from his head

and down his chest

through which horns

thick and worn

emerge and rest

He lives in death, walks your dream

or your nightmare

to cause fright and terror

so do not error

watch and beware

Like the rhyme scheme, is this a new form? Have not previously seen it! Especially like the name
Rambogren, sounds like something out of Harry Potter!
