The Lady in White

The Lady in White

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

Doe eyed woman

in your dress of white

What saddens your smile

on this beautiful night?

Are you waiting for love

to sweep you away?

Are you waiting for answers?

What do they say?

Dark haired beauty

prim in her chair

melancholy lady

burdened by care

Don't cry fair maiden

your knight will come soon

and you'll throw off that mantle

in his arms you will swoon

Nice rhyme! and flow! Lady in white, like a wedding dress waiting for the groom to arrive. Women in white is a beautiful site to behold. Nice write.
