Kingdom in the SkyA Poem by Melissa Kesead"Paint for me a picture of the kingdoms of this world" said the emporer as his jewels and silks were unfurled
"There is but one" said the artist "and his kingdom's in the sky one cannot paint it for it's invisible to the eye"
"But I demand a picture, I want to know who rules, I want to know his future plans, devices and his tools"
"If you must know, my emporer, look deep into your heart, search for the love and beauty divine, that's a good place to start"
"This kingdom can't be conquered or taken as if by force by bomb or missle or submarine or an armed man on a horse"
"What is this place you speak of? Why can't my eyes behold? For just a glimpse of this wonderous place I'll give you silver and gold"
"This kingdom is eternal, made strong by staff and rod, it can never be bought, sold or won, this Kingdom is of God" © 2009 Melissa Kesead |
