Avalanches

Avalanches

A Poem by MelissaBlack

Rockslides down my arms and

Avalanches slide down my skin;

Sheets of yesterdays falling, sliding,

Shattering.

Revealing the birth, the Resurrection.

I Am the fetus,

The larva,

The caterpillar,

Fresh and pure and shining in the first sunlight spread across all of the chirping birds' obsidian feathers.

Bright and profound as the birthing of a new idea:

I Am the Thought and the Belief that

Beauty beats my heart;

That this nourishment is a cycle,

Pulsing in all of our veins and penetrating the world through

A smile: a delicate invention;

A power with the gentleness to cause

Earthquakes

Avalanches

Rockslides.

Sometimes, stories just pour from me. They come in all forms. Sometimes they make a lot of sense, and sometimes I don't even know what they mean. They always feel right, and they always make sense at .. more..
