Personal note, this has actually happened to me. I found out on 10-29-14 about my test results. After a second opinion and quite a scare, these are my thoughts and feelings.
God has a Master plan
For each and every one
He will hold onto our hands
Until the day is done.
Results have nothing to do
With good luck or the bad
Won't matter if we worry,
Cry or go stark-ravin' mad!
Found out I don't have cancer
Like the doctor said I could
Relief and emotions rushed
Just like Noah's famous flood.
My faith had gotten shaky
I'm ashamed to admit
But knew I couldn't leave
Because at His feet I sit.
We must remember to praise
Not just in times of light
But also in the darkness
Where He helps us regain sight.
Yes, God has a Master plan
For each and every one
He will hold onto our hands
Today, I am not done.
Very inspirational poem. Lean upon God's understanding rather than man. "We must remember to praise Not just in times of light But also in the darkness Where He helps us regain sight. For each of us, God does have a master plan. Nicely written. Thank you for sharing...Keep writing.

Thank you, Celie Rose! I certainly don't know where I would be without God!

This is a great honest write. There's times in our lives when our faith is tested. In the end it only makes your faith that much stronger. We are all temporary beings in the human life and I feel some get tested more than others. Some make mistakes, some pass in what seems to be early. Some struggle with health and some seem like they have 9 lives. In the end God does have a master plan and He is there through the good and bad. Awesome write :)

Each of us have reason and purpose to be here. We are the student once and one day. We are the teachers. Purpose for the each of us. Thank you Melissa for sharing the outstanding poetry.

this poem is a exhalation of great relief, faith and trust, you can feel it within each line that must have taken so much for you to write out... it is also a way a thanking Him for being there and holding your hand during the most toughest and agonizing event in your life...rest assured, he will always be there, never let go of his hand... beautifully written.
^^ I really enjoyed reading this, thank you for sharing! God does have a plan for us all! I really like the line, "We must remember to praise Not just in times of light But also in the darkness where He helps us regain sight." A very true statement! I really like the rhythm and rhyme of the poem, however the use of "could" and "flood" doesn't seem to rhyme much, maybe it's just me lol ^^ Other than that I think it is beautiful!
Great Job

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, Peace Keeper. I appreciate it.
Tis a wonderful poem, Melissa. Somehow you've managed to express deeply felt emotions in a controlled literary style.. that takes some doing. Like you i feel that God has a Master plan, it's not one we all appreciate or understand much of the time, I certainly don't but.. He tries to touch us all, and does, more often than not. Truly relieved and happy for you.

I know I have questioned God myself, which sounds horrible but we do need to let go and let God. He knows what He is doing!

Here is where the word 'trust' really comes into play.
Although I am personally not a religious person - not a believer, or disbeliever come to that, I totally agree that faith is one thing that can hold us together when all else fails. Someone who knew I wasn't religious once said they would pray for me when I was going through some problems. A little later they came back to me and apologised if they had offended me, which they did not. I explained to them that them doing that was still a beautiful thing to do for someone no matter what that person thought, because it was the kindness of them doing it that I appreciated.
Your faith got shaky Melissa, as I'm sure it does for most now and again, but it didn't fail, you didn't give up and that after all, is what faith is all about. Being tested and not giving up when it would be the easiest option.
Glad to hear it was just a scare.

I believe that is between the person and God but I can tell you that at my lowest points in life I know God was still with me and it was HE who helped me to survive. I also believe that if someone is offended by my beliefs or prayers, that is God working on them. Anyhow, thank you for your kind words on my poem. I actually go next week for testing just to make sure that all is still how it should be. I am a bit nervous but I know God's got this!
