Time Won't Wait

Time Won't Wait

A Poem by Melina
"

This poem gives the reader the reminder of one fact of life - Time won't wait. It really won't, and we need to make positive use of our time before it passes us by without a warning.

"

Time won't wait,
It moves on by.
It won't stop moving
Not for you nor I.

The wind will blow,
It will make the breeze.
And prove everything has an end,
As it makes the leaves fall from the trees.

The sun will shine,
It will shine bright.
It will make things grow,
It will spread its light.

But time won't stop,
No, it will continue to pass.
It doesn't care that we want to live forever,
In an instant the present becomes the past.

Our lives roll by,
Like the waves on the sea.
With a blink of an eye
There goes our eternity.

The clouds will continue to form,
And the rain will continue to fall.
The cycle of life takes over,
Fiercely ruling over all.

But time won't wait,
Time will go by.
Our life fades away,
With the blink of an eye.

So, so true as we hold on with dear life to get that last breathe but the earth continues to turn. I love the way you worded this poem. Nice work.
