Changing GraceA Poem by Melissa KesterI've recently gone through a lot of difficult changes in my life. At first I felt completely out of control. But I started learning that perhaps these changes will bring better things to my life.
When the green of life begins to fade
The changing leaves do not turn grey The emerald cities atop wooden spires Shift in sunlight and turn to fires And even when those fires fall Their ashes give new life to all The earthen towers might now be bare But beauty waits in winter's flare When snowflakes fall and kiss the trees Their branches glisten amidst the breeze And when the moon is high at night The world is still aglow with light So when your life brings the winds of change And everything feels so suddenly strange Just remember how the seasons go Your beauty shines and your grace will grow © 2018 Melissa Kester |
