Catch Me When I FallA Poem by Melissa Kester
Catch me when I fall
Before I splatter on the ground Since I made this leap for you As you said that I had found The one who will keep me safe The one that would keep me true The one not to let me shatter You said that was to be you But here I am, I'm falling The ground growing ever near Imagine my surprise When I do not see you here As panic begins to surge And my light begins to fade I wonder what I could have done To make you want to stay I can see it now, my great mistake Was when I trusted in you, all I should never have believed you When you said you'd catch me when I fall © 2018 Melissa Kester |
