My Daughter

My Daughter

A Poem by Melissa Kester

Long Brown curls
And hazel eyes
Cherub cheeks
And pink bowties

Happy laughter
And goofy grins
Crocodile tears
And bruised up shins

Boo boos kissed
And made okay
Peek-a-boo games
Save the day

Naptime snoozes
And tantrums thrown
Bedtime cuddles
Oh, how you've grown

Each day a gift
To be your mother
I love you so
My beautiful daughter

Beautiful! Loved it. I know my mom thinks same of me. 😊

A beautiful little poem and tribute to your daughter. I have two, both grown now. One is childless and the other has three, the youngest a girl. Now she too knows the joys of having a daughter. At three, however, it seems little dear one is developing an attitude. Dear Mom doesn't know what to do. She generally calm and laid back, much like her old man, unfortunately. But she's a great mother.
