Ice Queen

Ice Queen

A Poem by Hebe Adrasteia
"

About forgetting....

"

Ice Queen---transparent?

Isn't ice transparent?

Silent? Ha!

You believe that edicts and weeks

Erased those etched out caverns

Of your name within my heart?

It flicks unnoticed then?

You are oblivious that my sparks still fly

Just sheltered behind a frigid lip?

Ice Queen?

NO!!!!!

I deal in fire

Reflecting eternal shadows

Of imprinted love.

My first love.

My last love.

You dim around the edges

Yet never trickle out

Because I've flipped the hour glass

AGAIN.
