Today I EraseA Poem by Hebe AdrasteiaA rather pathetic poem I wrote for my ex-boyfriend....Someday, my love, when grass has been sown Grown, and been crushed many times over; When clouds have circumvented more Races than they'll ever remember; When new joy peeks into our hearts Despite these cold, lingering caves of pain Then I will remember the first kiss Sweet, innocent, like long lashed infant eyes; And the bricks of that unjudging embrace So possessive it its emancipation. Forgive me dear, for emphatically forgetting. Now to place your smell and voice and melody Into the secret caverns of my soul. Today I erase the memory But tomorrow what's left will still be seen. © 2009 Hebe AdrasteiaAuthor's Note
