The Only Wishes

"The only wishes are the stars that glimmer into the night's sky."

The only wishes are the stars,
 Millions of them, up there, in the purple hue of Mr. Night.
 Hangin' out with the moon, in presence of its milky halo, too.

 The only wishes are the trillions glowing from space,
 The ones our eyes catch from Earth,
 The ones that pinpoint every dream, every fulfilled heart,
 A magical place right up there in the sky.
 
 The only wishes are the ones that glitter like sequins,
 Or shine like small suns,
 The white dots in the distance.
 
 And the good news is that there are trillions of them,
 Trillions of wishes for you and for me,
 So that hope is always found laced between the dark night's sky.
