Gothic EvanescenceA Poem by C.J. RavenheartThis poem is really old....and not on my computer
Once upon a Crescent Moon,
I found myself asleep upon the shore. I awoke to find myself, at my Lost Lover's Grave. And dear God that sepulcher, of my one Lost Love. Reminded me of better times, When you were alive. Oh dear God, that I had wished back then, That she was still alive. I felt just like a wounded soldier, Just having lost all his men. I saw with my own eyes, That Black Roses had already started, Blooming on her grave. The epitaph that had been inscribed, On my Lover's grave had said: "Here lies Zoe Effigy, So please just leave me be. Cause I just want to Rest in Peace, After my lover's Death! I felt like my Gothic Angel, Was standing next to me. Her unfaltering Beauty, Reminded me, Of her Gothic Evanescence. I was reminded of the time, At her funeral 4 long years ago. And her always ephemeral beauty, Inscribed upon her soul. My selfish wants, Had cause her Death. And I all in black, On hearing that Blazing eulogy, Felt like my heart, the strong funeral pyre, Had just burnt out forever. My heart died in its final cage, And my mind had split in two. And my lover had gone away forever, Into Eternity. Oh, the scathing Eulogy, Please, Zoey stay with me, Cause I realize now, that it was I, Who caused your untimely Death. The Lord of Death, had come to take, My Lover's Innocence. And when he had it in his grasp, He took her in his Dark Chariot. My heart died shortly afterwards. After it had ran its final course, And ended up inside of, A tiny little hearse! © 2012 C.J. RavenheartFeatured Review
