I hope you had fun destroying me.

Are you happy now?

Now that I'm curled up on the ground,

Tears running down my face.

Now that you've taken my heart

And possibly my sanity.

Now that you've kindled my happiness,

To take it, leaving me in pain and misery.

 

Are you happy now?

Now that I hate you,

And wish I had never met you.

Now that I shed a tear,

Every time I hear your name.

Now that I die inside,

Every time I look you in the eyes.

 

I only had half a heart when we met,

And you, you made me whole.

Now I'm destroyed into millions of pieces.

Only me left to pick up the pieces.

All I have to ask now is,

Are you happy now?

This break up obviously hit you hard and its always gonna hurt but it will gradually get easier. The idea of a heart being broken and then made whole only to be destroyed again very much reminds me of the song Porcelein Heart by BarlowGirl which also happens to be a personal favourite of mine, if you dont know it I strongly suggest that you check it out. This was beautifully written.

I promise that time truly does heal. I've had my heartbroken many times... And the most recent was truly horrible. But I got back on my feet. And I've learned how to forgive, how to trust again. Yeah, I'll never look at that person the same again, but I will be able to go to sleep at night without shedding a single tear. Time heals. It took me a while, but I promise that you will get there :) Hearts are stronger after broken. And when we bruise, aren't we created to heal ourselves?

This is very sad, break up poems always seem to be. All you see is the sadness behind people's eyes and in their hearts and minds, if they are still there. Only problem I found was the one listed below. Nice work.

"And you you made me whole." do you mean "and you, you made me whole" or "and you made me whole"?
