Tears of Gold

Tears of Gold

A Poem by Mel Jayne
"

A girl with dark skin stands alone and cries tears of gold.

"
At night, with moonlight flooding
The dark skin of her face
with beautiful blue light.
The water lay still around her feet,
The fountain at the heart of Barcelona
Oddly silent.
Her lips parted as she breathed,
softly and entangled in memories.
Her eyes were the light.
They lit up gold.
Reflecting off of the liquid gold,
Spilling from her eyes.

I think I saw this girl once; waiting in anticipation for her lover to join her - beautifully created write and lovely read! I see it was 2017; sorry I didn't get around to reviewing sooner ... :-)

My pleasure
There are reasons for every tears we share.
They do run down our cheeks because of our inexpressiveness. Such the case of the character in this beauteous artwork.
