Inescapable Fate

Little story about a BIG being.

I’m tired. But my work is too important to stop even though it seems eternal and I know one day I’m not going to be able to continue. I have to support so many, and yet so few take the space in their lives to appreciate me. I know everyone’s busy doing their own thing, but don’t they realize that I’m exhausted? I need a break. But a break would mean having to start everything from zero all over again, and I guess it’s easier to just keep going with what I have until I eventually can’t do it anymore.

Everyone keeps putting more and more pressure on me. They don’t realize how hurtful and destructive they are, and yet I protect them every single way I can. Every second that passes, I take parts of my own so they may be safe. They’ve taken so many resources, and there’s only so much I can restore.

The little details can affect me in such a big scale, and it’s gotten to a point where so many little things are being taken from me. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t help them any longer. They’re going to be the end of me, I know it.

I mourn every day for all the losses I’ve had. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time when everything was easy and happy, such glorious times those were. When everything was perfect, changes came, exciting changes. I thought that I was going to become the best one out there, and I guess I did, for some time anyway. But things kept evolving more and more, until eventually the change was for the worst, and it went downhill from there. Now there’s no way back and one day I will be just the same as my siblings. Unworthy and empty.

This is a fate that I cannot escape. More will come after me and the same will happen to them. I wonder if there is such thing as eternal glory out there. But for now, all I hope is that I am remembered as I am supposed to be. As the glorious planet Earth that once held the most beautiful places ever seen
