Where were you?

Where were you?

A Poem by Lilith

You treat life like a game,

Like nothing you do will affect others.

You spend your time mocking those those of less fortune,

Those that don't share your life of luxury.

While you waste your wealth,

There are others who die trying to get it.

You act like your money makes you better than everyone else,

But in reality it changed you into someone worse.

You have become someone who cares not for the sake of others,

But for the sake of your own.

Think back to your days in high school,

Do you remember the kid you used to torment?

You said he smelled and he's cloths were ugly,

Even though it was due to his family's rapid money spending.

He's i jail now,

Because to survive he stole from a grocery store.

Or do you remember the girl who sat in the back of the class,

You know the one you called "Worthless"?

She cut her wrists open and killed herself,

The pain was too much for her to handle.

It's all over for them,

But where were you?

You not only sat back and watched it happened,

You made it worse.

You could have tried,

At least maybe then they'd see at least someone cares.

Maybe if you didn't always put them down,

They wouldn't have destroyed their lives.

You could've stopped them,

But you just sat back,

And watched them die.
