Fooled

I didn’t see this coming,

You gave no sign,

You gave no warning,

I was completely oblivious to your intentions,

And you had me fooled,

Fooled to believe that you actually cared,

That you actually loved me,

While as the days just drove by I continued to believe you,

Even when I thought that something was amiss I still looked passed it,

And now you that you’re gone,

Probably working on your next victim,

I sit here alone wishing that I could’ve seen you for that rat you really are,

The real side of you that everyone else could see,

Everyone except for me.
