Tangled Quilt

Tangled Quilt

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Accomplishments never seem to conceive.

As the goals, I continue to achieve

are just the stepping-stones I receive

for this web of life I weave.

The future looms with its mystery.

The quilted past with its history

is fixed in place, but still is changed,

by how my perspective is rearranged.
