The becomming of togethernessA Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt ShanksWritten for my husband for our wedding. The becomming of togetherness You have come to me before in dreams but I could never see the faces. Your eyes are so familiar it seems. Your touch takes me to special places. We're so connected to each other when we sit and talk from time to time. Seems we've always known one another. When I look in your eyes I see mine. You are the one I've known forever, that I waited for all of my life. The laws of faith pulled us together. I was always meant to be your wife. Our future will be spectacular with the happiness we are both due. And if it seems to be familiar, it is just all our dreams coming true. If chaos and stress overcome me, or strife and weariness come our way. I know sticking together's the key and we'll get through it all day by day. There is nothing we cannot achieve as we collide and grow together. All that we need to do is believe that we will become one forever. We are two trees growing side by side, branches freely flowing intertwined. Sun; Rain; Trunk and roots they too collide. We eventually become one mind.
