There's a boogieman around the corner!

Fun little poem that I wrote when my kids were young.

There is a boogieman around the corner!

Shouldn’t somebody warn her?

There is a boogieman around the corner!

Why didn’t someone warn her?

There is a boogieman around the corner!

Maybe I should have warned her.

There is a boogieman around the corner!

Oh wait, it’s only her.

 

There is a ghost under my bed!

Did you hear what I just said?

There is a ghost under my bed!

Doesn’t he know that he is dead?

There is a ghost under my bed!

I hope that he’s been fed.

There is a ghost under my bed!

Oh wait, it’s only in my head.

 

There’s a monster chasing me!

I hope that it doesn’t get me.

There’s a monster chasing me!

Oh please don’t let it get me.

There’s a monster chasing me!

Oh won’t somebody save me?

There’s a monster chasing me!

Oh wait, the monster is me.

 

Oh no! There’s a big fat fear!

What if it gets in my ear?

Oh no! There’s a big fat fear!

I’ve heard it’s awful to hear.

Oh no! There’s a big fat fear!

It might cause my eyes to tear.

Oh no! There’s a big fat fear!

Oh, I see, it’s my own mirror.
