Instead of "Why all the green for?" I'd suggest "What's all the green for?" I think it still flows with your poem - and it makes more sense. Did you mean to type "what's"?
Charming and very funny - You should try making some of these into e-cards, if you want to. I think you might even be able to sell them and promote your work. (some people are insulted when I suggest this, no idea why, but please don't be mad)
this was cute! lol.
enjoyable read!
just one thing though... bout midway through the rhythm breaks up but it wasn't big enough to take away from the poem itself! I needed a laugh as well and this certainly made my day! thanks
A poetic reminder of an important time in Irish history, but not everyone is aware that St. Patrick was born Maewyn Succat, to an Anglo-Roman family in Wales (415 AD). When he was about sixteen, he was captured by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to Ireland, where he lived for six years, before escaping back to his family. He entered the church, just like his father and grandfather had before him. During that time, he changed his name to Patrick and later returned to Ireland as a missionary, although little is known about the places where he actually worked. However, by the eighth century, he had become the patron saint of Ireland. Legend credits St. Patrick with teaching the Irish about the concept of the Trinity by showing people the shamrock, a 3-leaved clover, using it to highlight the Christian belief of 'three divine persons in the one God'.
A neat and humorous write highlighting the imagery surrounding his day of remembrance!
LOL this was great! A happy moment of green all the way through, till you find out it was a day late!
Great imagery! The different shades of green really made this stand out in my mind!
Wonderful writing! :)
I have been writing since I knew how. Before that I would just draw pictures to tell a story. My true passion is poetic lyrics. That is mostly what I am inspired to write. I have been dabbling in othe.. more..
