Tears Of Joy

Tears Of Joy

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Through squinted doors

over plump cheeks

I travel.

Gravity

pulls

me

down

and I land

on the shaky

 surface of the body

 from which I just came.

The cackling sound

 of laughter fills

 the air.
