All in All

All in All

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks
"

This poem has 36 lines all of them having 9 syllables.

"

The life you live is the life you make.

You’re living a dream while you’re awake

Vibrations are slow, but you can see

the difference between you and me.

The difference is we’re both the same.

We are both players of the same game.

The game itself all depends on you.

The rules all depend on what you do.

What you do creates your destiny.

Create love and live in ecstasy.

Create hate and you will live in fear.

For what you hate is in your own mirror.

Look in your eyes, down into your soul.

It knows the yearning to become whole.

Whole is one hundred percent pure love.

This love you cannot find up above.

It’s above, below, and all around.

Listen close and you can hear the sound.

All of the All of All connected.

Seems like it could All be directed.

Maybe it is and that is the thing.

What if we All just started to sing?

Sing of love and peace and harmony.

The sound of one voice can charm many.

 Just think of the possibilities.

If we All just sang a song to please

ourselves, and anyone else who hears.

If we could All just forget our fears,

The game could pursue in happiness.

All could feel the All of All in bliss.

To choose the life that you wish to live,

the things you want are the things you give.

Give others the things that you pursue

And those things will All come back to you.

As you live life, listen to your breath.

As you live life, never fear your death.

How beautifully written. Such discipline in writing too. That's what makes this piece so compelling. You didn't sacrifice your message for syllabic consistency, yet you stayed true to the form you chose. A daunting task which you mastered here.
I wish for the illusion of separateness to lift like the morning fog revealing the truth of our connectedness before our very eyes. I too believe that the thoughts you behold in your mind creates the movie of the life you define...in other words we are given the choice to define what success means for us. The beauty lies in the fact of infinity for there are as many definitions of success as there are Souls. So for all we hold in common though it is all the same.. Paradigm shift anyone? BE Of Good Courage...

When I read this, I see a lot of my anxieties and frustrations in a similar sense. You see the good in the world, and it frustrates you that there are so many people who cannot see it! If only people could see that Heaven is all around us, but we are choosing to live in Hell!!!

You say we could all sing together in harmony, and then go on to say "Just think of the possibilities." Well I say to you, there are no limitations. Any mathemetician would agree that the number infinite does not exist, but rather represents and idea of the unending. However, this is not the case with God. God is unending, and God is infinite. This is why He is One.

ML-

That's great! It looks like you have your 9's and 10's down for a bold appearance onto the stage of the Schnaz(z)le. Arguably, you have most of the legwork done already.

"Listen close and you can here the sound." should be "Listen close and you can hear the sound." These things happen.

Wonderful write!
