Self Prayer 8A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt ShanksThis poem has two eight line stanzas with eight syllables in each line.I pledge alligiance to myself to always try to be myself. Not what someone thinks I should be and not what others want to see. I vow to respect all others All are my sisters and brothers, so I will try to understand and if they need me lend a hand.
I won't try to lead them astray for they will go their path their way. I can try to open their eyes but not because I am more wise. Seeing things from another view can sometimes show someone the new. Paths can go in all direction in the end it's All perfection.
