Prayer for Wisdom

Prayer for Wisdom

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

I pray that

 the fleeting words

 of the wise

 are not missed.

Shall the wind

whisper them

into someone else’s ears,

 to be inspiration

expressed

 in a different way,

 with a different perspective.

Nice little piece... I think as writers we can inspire each other, I know many do for me.

Great reflection of passing down our knowledge from generation to generation, thats how we continue to live after death.

Very nice. Wisdom is so important and I ask for it all the time in my prayers. I need lots and lots. I think of James 1:5, I believe it is, that says, "If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach. As I ponder your poem filled with wisdom, I think of the fact that the body of Christ is so ornate and diverse....I love your perspective and forms of expression. Unique and filled with passion. Well done, my friend.

We can all learn from each other in the interpretation of wise things. They may be said in spirit or by others, and we should listen! Excellent poem with so much said in so few words. I walk away thinking of your fragrant poem!
