Writers BlockA Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks
A thickened wall that I cannot climb The mist overhead has thickened too. The words that I need, I cannot find. Farther they fly, the more I pursue.
Grasping at straws that have no holes, My thirsty mouth still parched and dry. A pantry full of empty bowls, My hungry soul so longs to cry.
