Skeptical Consumption

Skeptical Consumption

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Will you wade through life's obstacles

or flow through life's treasures?

Will you consume another's judicials

or create your own pleasures?

Will you tread through the treacherous

and create your tribulation,

or recognize the tremendous

and satisfy your salvation?

Do not be skeptical of the endogenous.

You will trap yourself in revolution.

Salute the salutiferous

and you'll find your own solution.
