Overdone 12A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt ShanksI hate it when the darkness takes over my soul, And I can't seem to shake it off to play my role, And it's a heavy burden that's taking it's toll. It's a hovering mass that noone can console. These feelings make me want to just curl up and hide, And let myself drown in the tears that I have cried. I'm running low on all the smiles I have lied, And now emotion bubbles over from inside. I would never want to pass this to anyone, Or have someone get caught in this web I have spun, Or have someone follow me down this path I run, Just to choke on the sorrow that I've overdone. 4/11/2016 © 2016 Melanie Jane Boicourt ShanksReviews
