Music Box

Music Box

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

I'm my own
 Music box.
 Sometimes there's rivers.
 Sometimes there's rocks.
 But if I do
 Crash and burn,
 Can I take
 Another turn?

 I'm my own
 Music box.
 I flow through rivers,
 Up over rocks.
 When I do
 Crash and burn,
 Will I need
 Another turn?

 I'm my own
 Music box.
 Making rhythm
 Out of rocks.
 When I do
 Crash and burn,
 I won't need
 Another turn.
