Old Soul

Old Soul

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

Don't want to live life from my mind.
I never know what I will find.
My random thoughts my day through out
Are usually tinged with fear and doubt.
Don 't want to live life from my heart.
My empathy would surely start
To feel the pain of those around
Then to their fear I would be bound.

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

You send me messages and signs.
I don't listen! I cross the lines.
I go my own way round instead.
Follow the path inside my head.
You're more connected to source,
So beam me up and plot the course.
I'll do whatever that I should.
Just want to be the greater good.

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

Old Soul,
I give you the control.
You know what I need
To make me whole.

I have been writing since I knew how. Before that I would just draw pictures to tell a story. My true passion is poetic lyrics. That is mostly what I am inspired to write. I have been dabbling in othe.. more..
