Faith

Faith

A Poem by Magnolia
"

Durring a time when my faith was weak, and at one point I actually did loose my faith.

"

Soon that time will come,
Tomorrow, the day it all changes.
For better, or worse?
It’s up to you.
So make the choice.

So exciting this all is,
To see a new light.
But when the time comes,
That light turns to darkness.
And you become lost.
Lost, in the overwhelming freedom.

Now that you left what you didn’t know you had.
Are you ready to accept what you don’t need?
Because here we are and it’s all around you.
So tak it! Take what’s plainly there for you.

Afraid to confess, you weren’t ready.
You cowered and hid for everything:
Those that you wanted, and those that left for.
So come back! You must come back to what is real.

Ah, the struggle of the loss of faith. You did a good job addressing a big topic. I especially like the phrase "overwhelming freedom" - it's a phrase packed with meaning that's expressed in only a few words. Well done.

This is an awesome piece. I liked it a lot. There have been times in my life where my faith had become weak so I feel like I can relate.
The lines that stuck out to me were:
"So exciting this all is,
To see a new light.
But when the time comes,
That light turns to darkness.
And you become lost.
Lost, in the overwhelming freedom."
because these lines are just so true. It's always exciting at first, but sometimes, as it goes on, interest starts to fade, the light turns to darkness, and it becomes overwhelming. Or at least that's what I feel. This was a really awesome piece.

Amazing piece of writing you've got there! I know how it is... to lose one's faith for another. You don't have to worry about people contacting you and asking if you're alright. Here at the cafe we understand your pain but we all are respectful enough to trust that you're okay. So, keep writing out all of your feelings! Don't worry about all of us. Welcome to the Cafe, Magnolia!
