My Father Came To MeA Poem by Mehamehapoem dream of fatherMy Father Came To Me He Told Me To Come Home He Knew I Had Been Hurting So Far Away Alone
Although I Haven't Seen Him He Looked The Very Same The Day I Saw Him Smile The Time I Felt No Pain
My Father Came And Saw Me Laying On The Floor He Bent Down To Lift me And Guide Me Through The Door
He Never Was This Giving Knowing Not What Words To Say I only Knew He Loved Me And Wanted Me To Stay
The Room Looked So Inviting The Colors Smelled Like Dew My Pain It Had Been Lifted I Ran With Legs Like New
If I Could Only Tell Him So He Would Understand How Much That I Had Missed Him How Glad I Was To Stand
But I Could Not Stay With Him He Was Only In My Dream I Woke And He Had Vanished To His World So Serene
When I Want To See Him I Shut My Lids And Cry He Will Be There To Greet Me On The Day That I Will Die © 2016 MehamehaReviews
