The Hourglass

The Hourglass

A Poem by Mehameha
"

Wedding promise poem

"

The Vessel Holds The Sands Of Time

So Too Our Lives As One Combine

I Feel The Weight Remove From Me

To Free My Space So I May See

The Burdens You Do Seek To Purge

So We Invert And As We Merge

Your Troubles Fill My Waiting Soul

We Are Two Halves That Make A Whole

As Each One Yearns The Other Gives

When Either Fills The Other Lives

Life is giving and taking. We need soft voice and we need to share kind voice in return. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

It was what I wrote for a wedding ceremony at Kahala. Glad you like it.

Yes, I enjoyed it a lot and I'm sure the wedding at Kahala was just as beautiful as your poem.
