Your Last Poem

A Poem by Meg
"

Okay, so I ended up writing him more poems. But whatever. When I wrote this, I fully intended never to write or think about him again. Unfortunately, that just isn't how love works.

"

I remember when you promised,
that we wouldn't change.
That I'd always care for you,
and you'd always feel the same.

But now you're gone.
You've met another girl,
and decided to move on.
And honey, so have I.

In time you'll forget me,
and that you even cared.
I guess I don't mind,
'cause I think I almost hate you.

Good luck without me,
I hope life treats you well.
We both know you don't deserve it,
but I thought I might put it out there.

Oh how I can relate to those words....and I know how it is, no matter how hard you try you just can't stop writing about that one guy....sigh :/
But I really like this! It's a very nice write, and certainly relatable.
