Pathetic

Don't you hate it when your ex complains about being alone right after he dumps you? Newsflash boys: when we agree to be "friends" we don't want to hear about your love lives (or lack of one).

Looking back on the words we wrote,
makes me choke.
We were pathetic.
Just another humorless joke.

I don't know you, never really did.
You were a dream,
innocent and pure.
But I couldn't ever reach you.
There wasn't anything to feel.

I thought I loved you,
and now I know I was wrong.
It was just a little experiment,
that went on far too long.

I tried, I cried.
But it was all in vain.
All you ever did,
was cause me agonizing pain.
But I don't regret it,
and I hope you feel the same.

The next time you complain,
about being hopelessly alone,
just remember,
that it's all because of you.
