And That's The Truth

And That's The Truth

A Poem by Meg

I lied.
And that's the truth.
I'm sure you don't believe me,
and I can't really blame you.

I still love him.
And that's the truth.
I know that it hurts you,
but I promise I never meant to.

I'm lost.
And that's the truth.
I forgot who I am,
and I don't know what to do.

I'm falling apart.
And that's the truth.
I feel so alone,
with no place to call home.

I hate him.
And that's the truth.
But why am I writing to him,
when I should be falling for you?
