Broken Promises

Broken Promises

A Poem by Meg
"

This is the first poem I ever wrote. Enjoy :]

"

Every ounce of dignity erased.

My heart shattered and replaced,

with an empty abyss of rabid hate.

Traitor.

Restore my faith.

Hold me with patient grace.

Destroy these barren walls.

Catch me when I fall.

Savior.

Run away.

Take me away.

Leave me be.

Free me from this unbearable

insanity.

You were my

safe haven.

The only truth in a sea of lies.

Now my days are full of

broken promises and bittersweet memories

of when you were still mine.

Bury your lies,

Tell me the truth,

Did I mean anything to you?

This is the first poem you ever wrote?!?!?!?! It's amazing!
Well written, with lots of emotion, and the last line, to me, is the best.
Broken promises hurt alot, and I can so relate to your words in this, the last line the most.
I like this poem alot.
