Run Away

Run Away

A Poem by Meg

I've tried so hard,
to stand in one place.
To keep my feet firmly planted,
and not run away.

But my heart won't stop racing,
the lies won't stop falling,
right out of my mouth.
I can't shake the feeling,
that it's time I gave up.

I've lost all inspiration,
every reason to stick to my rhymes.
I've spent my whole life searching,
for invisible signs.

I wanted to be honest.
I tried to be true.
But it just wasn't worth it,
when I'm always getting screwed.

I'm through standing still,
when I long to be free.
It's time I ran away,
before I forget how to breathe.
