Let Peace Prevail

Abdul was taking his last breadth

living last few moments of his life,

He was called a terrorist

who crossed the border of India

with dangerous intentions,

But he was not born as a Terrorist!

He was not born with this mindset,

it was given to him by people!

He was killed in a cease fire,

Also many people got injured in same,

And a small kid Faizal was killed

He was innocent but

then why did he deserve this?

Soldiers of India and Pakistan,

both keep fighting on borders

taking each others lives,

protecting their Nations,

but from whom?

So many mothers loose their sons

sisters loose their brothers, wives loose their husbands,

this loss takes place at both sides

then who gains and who wins?

What is the reason of this war?

Why this hatred? Why this terrorism?

 

Let the Peace prevail for once and see how this world becomes paradise!

The ending exposes your thoughts as idealistic and naïve.... you ask What is the reason... why?

Then you say let peace prevail for once .... blah blah blah .... the world becomes a paradise.....

How can you begin to tell us what the world will look like if you can't answer the most basic of questions....

Why is their hatred?? Why is there war?
Greed, injustice, white washed history, war like personalities, religion, shame, fear, oppression, coercion, money, and my favorite --- politically motivated and propaganda instigated idiocy. Oh these are just a tiny fraction of obvious reasons.... now, lets take a real world example... how are things in Tibet? Are they still a vassal of China? Is their leader still marginalized and basically exiled about to be replaced by a puppet Llama? Do they have any hope of seeing their society realize itself? No to all of that, because they are peaceful above all else so they will be eternally tied to the whims of a culture that stands for everything they do not, a culture that exploits them. You want peace? Real peace, freedom and equality? You have to fight for that s**t.... ever been to America? It's actually quite peaceful, clean, everything works, law and order prevails most of the time.... happiness? Ha.... they are scared to death, angry all the time at "the other", that view they never lived therefore don't understand. America is war like, constantly engaged or engaging for the past 30 years. That's how it's kept safe, that's how peace INSIDE America reigns.... sure there is anger, crime, and all manner of immoral behavior... but there is no war inside those borders, no ominous threat that at any moment your world could end. It's kept that way, it was fought for and people died for it... and blood with continue to be spilled to maintain it as long as possible. Peace and terror are different sides of the same coin, they are not mutually exclusive... they require each other or nothing can ever happen. And when peace is the order of the day, people will always have petty anger to sort out.... it's called being human. It's a complex proposition and it gets no less complex as you go through life.

OH MY GOD! You think its all crap right? Sir, peace comes being free, free from FEAR.. it should not be confused with total inactivity but reminding you of fighting for peace, what hitler did was fight, what napolean did was fight, the way french revolution happened was fight, the way even India got Independence like other colonial states was fight.. whats happening in Syria is FIGHT? what people are getting out of it? They achieved peace for like 5-6 years, then again came the problems. I agree this is how things are meant to be, nothing can get peaceful till the time we initiate it. And yeah talking about that America that invaded Iran in 2002 for no reason, that country who thinks that they control the world; the attack of 9/11 was a result of that kind of behavior of america. And yes sir, i am quite aware of condition of world. These things have been there from the start and yes i agree you have to fight for your rights, but what about terrorism? what about stupid wars that nations like North Korea are trying to start? These things will continue to happen till people change their mindset. Now Sir, this hatred and war is because of POWER and people are too greedy for that! Power is what Al-Qaida, ISIS or any terrorist organisation wants and power is what all the countries want! And in this race, Civilians pay the price, soldiers fighting for peace who just do that because they have been ordered, pay the price. And this all isn't crap sir. And my only motive to write this poem with emotional appeal was to make people think about it as many people don't give a damn about what is happening in world. And you read so much because of this poem, i think my goal is achieved! Thank you, criticism appreciated!
