About taking a chance with something/someone you love... if it's meant to be, it will come back to you.

You'll never know how much

It hurt me when you left.

Believe me when I say

I understand your need

To fly

To soar

To great new heights.

But I'll never let you see it,

The pain behind my eyes each time

You go.

For I know each new day

Is a chance

You'll disappear.

 

So I will wait for it.

The day you tell me it's true.

Because I understand.

Now that you know what it's like to fly

So fast, and

So high

You don't want to come down.

I just hope one day, you remember

The strength

In having your feet planted

Firmly on the ground below,

And come back to me.
