Too far gone

Too far gone

A Poem by Megan Jenkins
"

A poem about teen suicide and the struggle of depression.

"
She wasn't worth saving,
She was so far gone,
She'd been overboard for far too long.
Her eyes were bloodshot,
The rest of her face without a flaw.
Her parents wondered where the went so wrong.
"Our little girl" they cried.
Who knew she was so fucked up inside.
She could not wait to die, the reason for her suicide.
Her choice of death was overdose,
For this ended her feeling of being otiose.
There was no way to save her,
Her heart had stopped,
The cause was all the pills she had popped.
The world she had lived in was not okay,
Constantly needing to run away,
From all the things in her head,
That told her she'd be better off dead.

there shan't any doubt that you pen the poetry so brightly & very creatively, oh and cleverly as well. i believe, it's always hard writing such "suicidal" stuffs especially across such a perfect composition or across the popped up (bing-bang) "therapy" of "rhyme" so i guess, you nailed it, rhythmically! however, as far as i'm concerned 'bout rhythm & content (with your thoughts), i don't find anything missing by now so it's and would gonna be pretty interesting what you gonna have to bleed in more "pills" (words) as a sequel of this poetry. great job. looking forward to reading you, sugar!
