POEMA Poem by MeganRhetorical
Question Why
is the sky blue? Why
isn’t it purple, pink? Why
blue? Clouds
are grey why not grey? Blue
light is scattered in all directions Blue
is scattered more then other colors Travels
shorter Smaller
waves Blue
is the sky in the afternoon Black
is the sky when you see the moon Colorful
is the sky When
you see a rainbow Rain
is blue Like
the sky Why is the sky blue?
Getting lost
When I was a child
About eight years old
My mom told me to go get pop tarts
And she would meet me back in the
milk section
I got the pop tarts Getting lost
When I was a child
About eight years old
My mom told me to go get pop tarts
And she would meet me back in the
milk section
I got the pop tarts
Thanksgiving Dinner
Turkey roasting in the oven
Buttery mashed potatoes cooking on
the stove
Stuffing in the microwave
Kids playing
Parents laughing
Dogs running around
Everyone having a good time
Ding Ding Ding
Turkey is done perfectly cooked juicy
and all
Mashed potatoes buttery salty and all
Stuffing is warm and a little moist
Everyone gathers around
For a wonderful
Thanksgiving dinner
First time driving car
Unlock the door
Get into the car
Put the key in the ignition start up
the car
And be on your way
Nervous trembling hands
Sweaty palms
Legs shaking
Trying to stay calm
Ease on the pedal
Watch for signs and pedestrians
Stay focused on the road at the same
time
Mom yelling in my ear that I’m too
close on her side
Coming back home
Pulling into the driveway
Its over all over
Easier then I thought it would be
Beach
Waves crashing
Sandy feet
Sunny skies
Beach walks
Shells
Hot
Tans
Bathing suits
Surfboards
Boats
Bright blue sea
Crabs
Sharks
Swimming with dolphins
summer
