Unbeknownst to Himself

Unbeknownst to Himself

A Poem by Megan Kirby

Unbeknownst to himself he was changing,
Unknowing how to be true.
He told me that he still loved me,
But didn't know what he knew.

Up and down the street we fought,
That chilly autumn night.
I knew something was up,
but he thought it was all alright.

'Til I said...

"Who are you to tell me my, world's not flat?
And, who are you to try to change my, mind like that?
You think you know me,
but you don't know the first, thing about me.
You keep running in circles, baby,
quit, chasing me."
