simplicityA Poem by Megan E Twenter
just a simple girl
with simple dreams on top of a world so simple it seems but this world is dark and defeat does rest in the cavity of every young girl's chest just a simple day and a simple smile everything so simple she thought for a while then came the dawning of an age of truth when she had to grow up and forget her youth a simple age with a simple goal get out of hell and go back home but the simplest part it seemed to be was running from those simple dreams once upon a time she knew who she'd be but now that she's there she cannot see it was once so simple all was right but simply went to bed and grew up that night
