panicA Poem by Megan E TwenterI've heard the word so many times I read up on the meaning So many family and friends affected by but never knew the feeling Its like the world just loses color turns into blurry vision then white and grey, they turn to black and your heart surpasses beating Your stomach starts to twist and turn your brain, it starts to quiver one second you are sweating the through the next you shake and shiver you lose your breath tears start to stream pressure tightens up your neck you can longer see a solemn reply in a message a sad screen on tv too many people, lights and sounds overloading sensory it happens like a whistle a breath of air fine tuned sneaks quietly in and like a gust of wind and whips you away like a tidal wave
