Nope

Nope

A Poem by Megan E Twenter

I wanted to love you
You watched me burn
In front of your eyes
Caught up in your lies
And yet your pride was worth more

The difference between a man and a boy
Is one will acquit while the other lies
And if a woman is breaking
And she's in faint of heart
Then that man will be torn apart

How dare you make me feel stupid
After months with all your s**t
All the things you don't know I know
But my heart, it never quit

Some people would call me weak
They'd call me dumb, and young, naive
But a woman in love is a woman at fault
For all the good they try to believe

I've seen my own family fall apart
My mother, father, brothers, sisters in despair
Held their hands through broken hearts
Although Until now, I'd never been there

The only difference now
Being stuck here all alone
Is who is gonna hold my hand
And hold me till this heart aches gone

I get so angry out of spite
For my life you've tossed and turned
And you tell me that you love me
But make me look like a total chump in return

I really hope that tomorrow
When the sun rises in the east
That I don't wake up with it
Cause I'd rather be it'd be you alive than me
