Strange PlaceA Poem by Megan E Twenter
I thought it was your smile,
or the way you'd say my name and I counted every mile but still nothing feels the same I know that I've failed you and I've begun to fail myself But what am I to do when I cant yell for help I feel that I'm sinking the water rushes in and though my lungs are drowning I've made but one simple wish If this is where my fate lies in the bottom of this lake then at least I will have died In a brand new place Ive been pacing back and forth outside your bedroom window the curtains drawn, the hours long an existence like the ginkgo
