Missed You All AlongA Poem by Megan E Twenter
So here we are again
staring at blank walls, they're breathing and there's no words between us our hearts they deceive us I cant stand the way you laugh your smile, the way it feels when i can sense your eyes digging in my heels I hate you for acting normal and I hate you for staying sane when all the while, I've felt on trial and you're just numb to pain I dont want to hurt you more and I missed you all night long but my heart is growing sore you know I've missed you all along I can't take another second watching you, wanting to cry and no matter how we beg and beckon we depart with a heavy sigh You can try to touch me but I no longer feel the words you speak I know what's fair, and these secrets you share were never mine to keep I hate you for acting normal and I hate you for staying sane when all the while, I've felt on trial and you're just numb to pain I dont want to hurt you more and I missed you all night long but my heart is growing sore you know I've missed you all along I dont want to hear you sing another line, another lie Either I'm getting taller, or you're feeling smaller but that's alright, cause I feel fine I can't wait to see you crumble Hanging on to your last breath to tear you down, watch you fall on the ground until you have nothing left I used to wait for you to call or just to hear anything at all I used to wonder just how it would be if I could always have you here with me I hate you for acting normal and I hate you for staying sane when all the while, I've felt on trial and you're just numb to pain I dont want to hurt you more and I missed you all night long but my heart is growing sore you know I've missed you all along I used to wait for you to call or just to hear anything at all I used to wonder just how it would be if I could always have you here with me © 2013 Megan E Twenter |
